Optum G3 is a redesigned 3D finite element (3D FE) design tool for geotechnical engineers. Optum G3 is the ideal solution for the analysis and design of shallow foundations. Optum’s unique analysis type, called “Limit Analysis”, provides a way to determine bearing capacity efficiently and conveniently. Accurate upper and lower limits can be calculated to constrain the true solution from above and below, thus providing a built-in method for numerical verification. Elasto-plastic analysis is available to determine settlements.

Deep excavations are often risky operations that require careful planning and, as part of that, accurate and correct analysis. The reliability and efficiency of OPTUM G2 make it an ideal tool for simulating deep excavations. Accurate soil models and a wide range of tools and options are available for modeling retaining systems, from retaining walls to anchors and soil nails. The monopiles consist of a steel pile, typically 3 to 5 meters in diameter, driven into the ground by about 10 to 20 meters, depending on the ground conditions. OPTUM G3 provides all the tools necessary for the accurate analysis and design of monopiles, including limit analysis to assess ultimate capacity and elastoplastic analysis to determine displacements.
